Recent Update

Hey everybody, been another few days. My brother just got into town so i have been spending a lot of time with him. Also ive been buying stuff (I decided on dual 26" samsungs, and got a garmin), so that is always fun.

I was recently staked to play some MSNL (600 and 1k) on stars, and that just started up yesterday. I dont really know if i should comment on how im doing but if you ever want to rail me when i play those stakes your always welcome to find me = ). Lost the biggest pot of my life to a flushdraw though, that was fun.

But rider! Why did you felt AK 150 bb deep?? (I actually thought it was 200 earlier hm). Dude was 3 betting me relentlessly and i was 4 betting him a good amount. Figured this was full of it a ton of the time. Snap called his ass, and then the shit hits the fan.

An Update on a few things

Hey everbody. Having posted in a couple days, got a few real life things coming up but first lets take care of some business.

My week from the 17th to the 23rd






And Since "going pro" on the 10th of march.





However this isnt my total... I have also cleared a 1500 bonus to add to this, and i just bought another 1500 bonus and am clearing it atm.


As you can see my second week sucked, i got stuck in a rut as far as my game after trying to move up to NL 400, and had to work hard to try and get out of it. Eventually i switched over to playing 4-6 tables of nl 200 six max, and i made a ton of profit and put myself on the road to success. I have been playing a lot of 2/4 and 3/6 fr on stars now, but i think i might go back to some six max for a bit, my ultimate goal is to end up as primarily a six max player, however you need some FR in order to maintain the vpps needed to try to hit SNE (Which i currently only have 110k vpps for... however ive made 60k vpps since the 10th so certainly wiht my current volume i would make it).


So my total profit to date is : ~12,800. But with another 1500 clearing and possible slightly +/- in a few SnG's.


Now, the other day i went with a friend to play some live poker, and it was 2/5 deep. I offered a friend 20% of me, because i have never really played with this much money on the table. I feel bad about it.... but i got absolutely destroyed. I just NEVER made any hands! I would fold for like 30 minutes, raise AK open to 8 bb's get 3 callers and not flop anything.... thats all you can do. Also hit ZERO sets, which is always fun when you play for like 4 hours or w/e. So i lost about $957, almost a cool grand. Always a good day.


In other news i recently decided to go on a random spending spree and bought myself a 26" monitor from samsung for like $600, its a really nice monitor and i am like 90% gonna get a matching one so i can have dual 26's. I dont even know what im going to do with my old 19's... ebay or something i guess. once i get my setup all done ill take a picture and post it up on the forums.


My brother is in town and i havent seen him in a while, we get along ok usually but he can sometimes get really angry over stupid shit. He is 16, so he is a few years younger then me but so far things have been good and hopefully for the duration of his stay here it continues as such.


My goal is to get my bankroll +5k every week i play. If i manage to do that, i should manage to stay on course to make good money this year. Shouldnt be too hard with 1500$ bonuses and milestones soon to come.


Anyway thats about all that i have to say. I might be going to Europe this summer, still running things over with some friends. When i get more news ill make another post.

Well this week sucked...

But then i pulled it together!







lol @ surging through 4-8 tabling nl 200 at the end there. Didnt post for a couple of days because i was mad grinding and really wanted to reduce some variance before making a blog post. For some reason i really hate to make blog posts that are like "Today sucked i lost 3k" lol. But all is good now, i cleared a 100k bonus, and im like 56k fpps into my next one. Roll almost got to 11k, everything is falling into place nicely and i am on pace for SNE with my current volume. Pretty much all thats going on for me, im really debating getting a new car. We will see how that goes.

I made a prop bet to play 50k hands a week, with my 1k to his 2k. I think i am actually the favorite here but a month from now we will see. Anyway gonna head to bed just wanted to post my stuff.

lol's. Was really funny, on the river as i was gettitng ready to press fold i was like wait, this make no sense yo. So i really thought about possible hands. Sets? No they woul dbet the turn, probably even raise the flop. Same goes for top pair. A ten would play like this but would not bet the river, well certainly not for that much anyway. pairs below ten would of checked the river, pairs above ten would of reraised preflop. No hands really have a random 2 in them.

So wahts left? Straight draws, flush draws, and bruffs. Well the turn and river blanked, and he checked the turn, so its really unlikely he has improved. Also 48 looks like a "bigger" bet in that more chips are on the table, so i said to the computer "Well looks like im a fish because i think i am going to call you". Bingo!

Well this week is shaping up nicely

Well i have certainly not been lazy this week. 42k hands and +3745 atm. Not to mention the entire ~60k fpps ive made this week.

However i have made a few big decisions regarding VPPs/FPPs. I have decided I am going to join the race for SNE. Basically if i play 50k hands of nl 200 ill get there no sweat. 10k a day actaully seems reasonable and if i dont make it i can always throw in some more weekend play (might just do some weekends anyway cause games are usually good.) I love to theory craft so lets go ahead and look at some numbers.

50k hands @ 2 ptbb/100 wr (my winrate is actually higher then this but i want to be slightly conservative in estimates) = 4000$ A week from profit. However, at a vpp rate of of .55 per hand at 200 with a multiplier of 3.5... I make 96250 fpps a week and 27500 fpps. Anyway regardless that is roughly 1500$ in fpp bonuses. However if i hit SNE it adds ~55k in milestones and tournaments, plus what i make as a point multiplier but i wnt count that! Ok so my annual earnings from here on out at 2 ptbb/100 at nl 200 would be...

4000 x 40 = 160000$
1500 x 37.5(5 taken out for milestones) = 56250
SNE bonus/milestones = 55000

Grand Total: 271,250 before taxes. It would probably be more like 220-230 when if i file as a pro gambler.

However, that isnt just straight up cash. ~20k would be in tournament packages, the 56250 from fpps could be cash if i worked it off but it would be better value to buy something with the money.

Problem is... it isnt that simple. I will probably try to move up to higher stakes... more money there but also potentially less winrate or even a loss trying to move up. Also i dont want to be saying i will do major things and then turn around and not get even close, but if i i put in 50k hands a month and remain winning like i have this week it certainly looks bright.

And the grind has been going...

Hey everyone. Been mad grinding out hands! Actually had a couple days i couldnt play. Let me inform you as to what happened on said days.





One of the days the power had to be worked on, it happens. But the second day i had to miss from playing, i wanted to go crazy! Basically my dad consisted of me waking up at like 11 am, and my grandma asking me (and i quote) "Do you want to help me carry a filing cabinet?". Well im obviously not going to say no to this, so we pile into the van and off we go....





Or so i thought! We actually didnt know where the place was, other then the small map in the phonebook. After an hour of searching we give up and get some lunch at chili's (delicious fwiw[ribs and loaded potatoes ftw]), and then continue to look. Well half an hour later we get there, and sure enough, they dont have anything my grandma wants. Well we get directed to another office furniture store. So we are driving along near the strip, trying to get a filing cabinet. Finally we find the other place, and its way too expensive. So now my grandma wants to roam the streets in search of an office depot, but finally i convince her to just go where i got my desk and chair. Well we go.. and they dont have what she wants. So she has an employee there call the headquarters on the other side of Vegas and sure enough they have it. So we go across vegas, and on the way we see an office max. So we stop, and she finds one she wants! So she buys it, and the guy actually caries it out for her (I DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO COME), but we arent done, we still need another one. We think we find one, but its actually underconstruction... and eventually we find the one we want. Well sure enough so help me god, they DONT have the one they said they had. Now we have a short Las Vegas rush hour traffic drive home highlighted by a stop at a kmart to get some stuff she needs. We get home @ 8:00... sweet! After that i went over to hang out with some friends and drink so all wasnt so bad.





Other then that ive just hung out with some old friends from middle school and been to the gym several times. I actually went out to dinner tonight with a friend i have not seen in at least 4 years... pretty interesting how fast time goes bye.

And did absolutely terrible. I also talked with the guy i was going to prop bet for nl 25 and basically decided it was going to be a waste and so i decided to just play nl 100 for a while.





At least i made 10k FPPs LOL.





The worst part? I lost 2 and a half stacks while closing down the tables. Really this was a soul shattering minimum wage working day, really i hope tomorow goes better.

Viva Las Vegas Imo

Wow i have had a crazy few days here.

Basically a few days ago, my dad an I left North Carolina heading out to Boulder City Nevada (Right outside of Vegas). I was sick (still slightly am), but we decided we were just going to go straight through. So in a time period of roughly 36-40 hours we drove from Wilmington North Carolina to Boulder City. Just sick timing, by the end of it i thought i was going crazy. We would switch off about every 4/5 hours and just kept driving.

About when we had crossed into Texas, i took over from my dad and started driving in the middle of the night across the Texas panhandle. Well i dont know if any of you have been out across the I-40 in that location, but wow, its desolate. Like at night you cannot see lights in ANY direction except for the really occasional car going the opposite way. Pretty crazy. Well I had about a 1/3 tank when i took over but decided to just keep going, and this ended up being a really terrible decision. There was a distance of at least 60~70 miles with no advertised gas stations or any lights, and so after a while i was running REALLY low. Well basically i decided we didnt have enough gas to make it to the next exit so I got off at an exit that was do or die, and sure enough off in the distance i see some signs.... Gas! I refilled 16.88 of a 17 gallon tank (lol). Good Times.

Anyway so when we got here i had a lot to do. Had to unload my stuff and start to help my grandma (who i am currently staying with) move into her house a bit. Also bought a desk and a chair and spent like 5 hours putting it together. Not too bad though, im fairly happy with how it turned out. Might get some pictures up here later. Also got a neew phone and all of that jazz, pretty much set to go for a while.

As far as poker and money goes, not done so hawt as of late. Lost a lot of money on the trip, on the desk and chair, in stakes, and what else. Down to just a few thousand. So what ive decided to do is what i call a $500 a day plan at nl 25. Every day im going to make $500 at nl 25, with 5 days off over the next 30 days. I have a very small side bet going on whether i will actually break 10k or not, i am fairly certain i can do it. I win at ~8ptbb/100 and i can 24 table for a good amount of time, and i just wont leave my computer each day until i finish. Should be simple enough.

Ill get my first day up here tomorow. As for now im going to finish setting up pt and pahud and then probably go to bed. Might play a few hundo hands tonight though.
